The life and source of the River Lowther.

13th July - 4th August 2019

A collaboration with artists working in acrylics, gouache, ceramics and glass - a varied exhibition of views and reflections on the river and its scenery.

The River Lowther has always played an important role in the landscape of the west Eden Valley. It forms a natural break between the soft limestone to the east and the high volcanic fells to the west and a route way for many wild animals and birds

The images are on display at The Exhibit 'A' Gallery, Main Street, Shap, Cumbria, CA10 3NL

Projects are a great way to learn about a certain subject or area and improve both still photography and filmmaking skills.

Some are short-term and might only run for a season or less. Others can last a lot longer; looking to depict an area throughout a year or more

I am currently working on two long term projects. One following a group of badgers during their year in both still images and film

The other is a photographic walk from the source of the River Lowther to the point where it meets the River Eamont. It will take in the valleys and tributaries that connect to the Lowther as well as the abundant wildlife that finds a home along its tranquil banks.
